Once upon a time, in land far, far away..... This is not a fairy tale, but we are concerned that many of you do not know the real facts about beauty. We read a lot of real beauty facts and then there are those known as myths. Which ones do you believe? Which ones do you follow? You may not know this, but you could be hurting your skin instead of helping it just because you believed a beauty myth. Here are three beauty myths that you may be think are true, but they just may be leading you down the wrong path.
Water is all you need
Water is incredibly important in our lives, that's for sure, but does it help your skin? Many people believe that when you drink your eight glasses of water a day, your skin will look amazing and never be dry. Dry skin cannot be solved by drinking that much water alone. There are quite a few other ways to help dry skin. If drinking water was the only way to do it, we would all look fabulous all the time. Having your glasses of water has been shown to help your skin, but you will need a lot more than water to moisturize it.Â
Cellulite can vanish with just creams
Oh pesky cellulite! Many of us see it on our bodies everyday and we want to know how to truly get rid of it. Creams are all over the market and they can help, but will using a cream and nothing else make it disappear? Creams can be part of the process that helps to get rid of cellulite, but there are some ways to add to this regiment. Exercise is one of those ways. If you are using your cellulite creams in the morning, go for a walk on your lunch break or hit the gym. Creams can help, but you need to add healthy eating and exercise to this regiment.Â
Expensive is always best
The last of these myths that we would like to debunk is that expensive skincare products mean that they will work better. This is not always the case. There are many brands that work and are not the most expensive on the market. In fact, take a look at some of our products. They work and they are fairly inexpensive. Look at our Swiss Apple Serum, for example. It is one of the most popular products and it has a pretty low price tag.Â
Keep all of this helpful information in mind when you are ready to make new skincare choices. And, we are not saying water isn't good for you, you actually need to drink more!
